Beside him — his new nemesis, Premier Jay Weatherill, who proceeded to rip into him and the Commonwealth’s response to SA’s power crisis, live on TV.
“It is a disgrace the way your government has treated our state,” Mr Weatherill he thundered.
“It’s the most anti-South Australian government we have seen from a Commonwealth Government in living memory,” he went on, just getting warmed up.
As Mr Frydenberg did his living best to avoid eye-contact with his aggressor, we can only image what was going through everyone’s head. Most definitely this:
