A two-storey home at a popular holiday spot on the Yorke Peninsula was completely gutted by fire on Wednesday night.
CFS firefighters, police and the SA Ambulance Service were called to Nagle Court, Port Victoria at 6.30pm after a two-storey house became engulfed in flames.
The home was destroyed, with an estimated damage bill of $450,000.
Fire cause investigators are due at the scene on Thursday morning, with the cause of the blaze still undetermined.
Twenty-five firefighters on five trucks attended the scene and responded and while the house was destroyed, crews worked defensively to prevent the fire from spreading to neighbouring properties.
The occupants were not home at the time.
Suspicious fire destroys Davoren Park home
Police are investigating a suspicious house fire at Davoren Park early on Wednesday morning.
Emergency services were called to Pix Road after receiving reports of a house engulfed in flames on Wednesday just before 2.30am.
MFS crews extinguished the blaze but the vacant home was completely destroyed.
Fire Cause Investigators have attended the scene and their initial assessment indicated the fire was deliberately lit.
Estimated damages are around $380,000.
The fire reignited again at 12.50pm, however, it was extinguished once more within 20 minutes.
