A stunning rooftop bar will be the centrepiece of a new $60 million hotel in Adelaide’s southern suburbs.
The Hurley Hotel Group’s Hotel Panorama will feature a level four bar called Wonderland with panoramic views of the ocean, city, and the Adelaide Hills.
Hotel Panorama general manager Scott Oakley said the new venue, on Goodwood Road, would be unlike anything seen in Adelaide’s south.
“Wonderland is going to be a really exciting space, something different than what’s probably been done before,” he said.
“A rooftop bar in the southern suburbs of Adelaide is something that doesn’t exist at the moment and we’re really excited to have this come to life.”
Construction began about a year ago on the project, a five-storey hotel offering 77 rooms over three levels, including 26 serviced apartments, and function spaces.
The ground floor will include a casual cafe and bar and restaurant, gaming room and sports bar.
The hotel is expected to be complete in March next year, with up to 200 new jobs created.
“Although work’s obviously not complete, this is a significant stage in the project when we get to the highest point of the structural build, which is very exciting for us,” Mr Oakley said.
“The project still has just under a year to go and at that stage we’ll be looking to employ somewhere between 150 to 200 new staff members.
“There’s still a lot of hard work to go until we get to the completion, but we can’t wait to welcome people to this amazing new space.”
