Two men are still in hospital after sustaining injuries in a horrific boat crash in Goolwa South on Saturday.
The speed boat holding the men flipped at high speed before eventually sinking on the River Murray.
The men were rescued by onlookers before being taken by paramedics to Flinders Medical Centre in a serious condition.
The 69-year Middleton man had just sold the boat and was taking the new owner, a 59-year-old Strathalbyn man, for a test drive, Channel 10 reported.
Witness and rescuer, Brett Hoppen, noticed the “big splash”.
“I didn’t even notice the fella in the water until I was right there. The guy that I helped was obviously in a lot of pain,” he told Channel 10.
The Middleton man is in a serious but stable condition and the Strathalbyn man is in a stable condition.
