Goodlife Glenelg temporarily closes after customer’s death
An Adelaide gym was suddenly closed on Thursday after a customer died inside the premises.
Goodlife has temporarily closed its popular Glenelg branch afterthe death of one of its customers.
An SA Police spokesman said police were called to the Glenelg East gym about 10.24am today after reports that a man had collapsed inside the premises.
“Despite the efforts of paramedics the man passed away at the scene,” the spokesman. “His death is not suspicious.”
The Advertiser understands the man was a customer.
In a text message to members, Goodlife said the Glenelg branch would reopen at 8am on Friday morning.
An earlier message to customers said the gym was temporarily closed until further notice.
“Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time,” the message said.
An SAAS spokeswoman confirmed ambulances attended the gym on Thursday morning before it closed.
Goodlife was contacted for comment.
