Two more videos have emerged of students coming to blows in Adelaide’s south after concerns were raised about their school’s culture.

Shocking new school fight footage emerges

More disturbing footage of students coming to blows in Adelaide’s south has emerged following concerns raised over the school’s culture.

The two videos, which have been circulated among parents and students at Aldinga Payinthi College, have been shared with The Advertiser following two other incidents where students had been filmed fighting.

In one video, two students can be seen throwing punches as their peers stand watching and goading them on.

One student loses his shirt in the fight. He is then seen picking up the other boy off the ground briefly.

A voice can be heard calling “get him” and “pick him up”.

In another video, a boy can be seen throwing another student to the ground. The student then gets up and starts swinging at the boy. A group of kids can be seen standing around the two boys, some filming and encouraging the fight.

“Punch him right in the nose,” one voice can be heard calling out.

“Get him in the face,” another shouts.

A former member of the school’s governing council earlier said he was concerned about the culture at the school and the way it handled such situations.

He said that students told him similar incidents happen almost daily.

However, a parent, who asked to be identified only as Jackie, said the school had a “a really good program” to help students deal with emotions like anger.

“My daughter is only year 4 and has had a couple of incidents, not relating to a fight … but have gotten verbal … and they’ve always been quite on top of it,” she said.

An Education Department spokeswoman said the school was aware of both incidents caught on video. The spokeswoman said both altercations happened during term 1, which runs from late January to mid April.

“The students involved in the fights, and those who filmed these incidents in breach of the school mobile phone policy, were subject to disciplinary consequences,” she said.

“Violent behaviour from any student is completely unacceptable, and there are consequences for anyone involved in bullying or violence.

“The Department for Education has announced this week it will be assisting the school through the installation of storage for mobile phones.”
