A woman allegedly murdered in a shocking random stabbing while she was at work will be honoured at a funeral service next week.
Family and friends of Julie Seed will farewell the mother of two at a funeral service in Pasadena on Wednesday, January 10.
Ms Seed, a 38-year-old from Morphett Vale, was allegedly murdered in a random attack at the REAL Estate Group office on Wednesday, December 20.
Her service will be held in the Heysen Chapel, Centennial Park from 9.30am.
A colleague, Susan Scardigno, was critically injured in the incident.
Shaun Michaels Dunk has been charged with Ms Seed’s murder and the attempted murder of Ms Scardigno, 50.
Ms Seed’s family have asked attendees to wear Julie’s favourite colour, pink, to the service.
The family have also requested donations to Furever Farm in lieu of flowers.
Following her death, heartbroken fiance Chris Smith spoke exclusively to The Advertiser saying Ms Seed “had an infectious smile” and “would do anything for anyone”.
“She made friends with anyone and everyone, everywhere she went,” Mr Smith said.
He said the couple of four-and-a-half years should be planning their wedding but instead he was planning his fiance’s funeral.
Ms Seed’s two daughters, 12 and 17, were both excited about milestone birthdays in January, but those plans, too, have been abandoned.
“The girls aren’t wanting to celebrate,” Mr Smith said.
“They’re doing it rough. They’re trying to put on a brave face; there’s the up and down moments.”
Friend Cathy Black tearfully recalled Mr Seed’s beautiful smile and soul as she placed flowers at the scene of the incident.
In laying her tribute, Ms Black described Ms Seed as a beautiful mother who had “just found everything that she always wanted”.
“She was a beautiful, beautiful soul,” Ms Black said.
“Beautiful mum to beautiful girls.
“She’s got a beautiful family, fiance, beautiful home – just got her dream job, then this happens.”
Ms Black said Ms Seed’s eldest daughter had recently turned 18, describing her as a wonderful mother.
“She will be very sadly missed, she touched many people’s hearts,” she said.
“That smile, that soul.”
