Four men have been arrested after they allegedly broke into a southern suburbs home and stole a number of items from inside the property.

Police say the men entered the home on States Road in Morphett Vale on Thursday at about 10.06pm and stole jewellery among other things.

The following morning officers stopped a car in Edwardstown and found the stolen loot inside the car. The driver and alleged thief, a 32-year-old man from Christie Downs, was arrested at the scene.

As a result of further investigation the three other suspects were identified soon after.

Officers from Southern District CIB, patrols and STAR Group went to a house in Christies Beach on Friday and arrested the three outstanding suspects.

This included a 19-year-old man from Narrung, a 23-year-old man from Brompton and a 26-year-old man from Christie Downs.

All four men were refused bail and will appear in court on Monday.
