A PUBLIC servant has been charged with criminal offences following a joint investigation between police and the Independent Commissioner Against Corruption.

Commissioner Bruce Lander today announced the arrest of the 36-year old Modbury woman — almost a month after she was arrested on May 17.

The woman is employed as a public officer in the SA public service, Mr Lander’s statement said.

She has been charged with five counts of abuse of public office and five counts of aggravated theft, which allegedly occurred between July 2013 and May 2016.

The woman’s arrest followed a joint investigation between ICAC and SA Police’s Anti-Corruption Branch.

No further details of the allegations, including the department in which the woman was employed, were included in Mr Lander’s statement.

The woman has been granted bail to appear in Adelaide Magistrates Court later this month.
