Fatal crash at Culburra on the Dukes Highway: truck and car collide, man dies
A Mallala man has died after the car he was driving crashed head-on with a truck at Culburra in the state’s south east early this morning.

A man has died after his car collided with a truck in a head-on crash at Culburra, in the state’s southeast.
The crash between the Toyota four-wheel drive and B-double truck happened on the Dukes Highway, near Schubert Rd, about 1am Saturday.
When crews arrived at the scene the truck had caught fire but was not fully ablaze.
The driver of the Toyota, a 50-year old man from Mallala, died at the scene.
The truck driver, a 40-year-old Windsor Gardens man, was not injured and was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Major Crash Investigators will visit the site to investigate the circumstances that led to the crash.
Road diversions were in place for some times but have since reopened with speed restrictions and contraflow.
Restrictions are expected to be in place for most of the morning.
The man’s death is the 50th life lost on South Australian roads so far this year, compared to 45 at the same time last year.
