The CFS has declared a total fire ban for the Murrayland district with extreme heat and windy conditions predicted.
The ban will be in place for 24 hours starting from midnight Saturday to Sunday, with the CFS recommending residents implement their Bushfire Survival Plan.
The CFS has warned people without a plan to leave early.
The total ban comes after the Bureau of Meteorology issued a heatwave warning for South Australians from Saturday to Monday.
The Bureau has issued the heatwave warning for the West Coast and the North West Pastoral Districts.
The temperature is forecast to reach the high 30s to mid 40s while overnight is expected to drop to the low 20s.
People are encouraged to turn on their airconditioning and fans, keep hydrated and stay in the shade.
Pregnant women, older people, young children and babies should remain indoors as much as possible over the weekend.
Metropolitan areas will be slightly cooler with the Adelaide temperatures climbing to a top of 32C on Saturday, dropping on Sunday to 30C before rising to a scorching 34C on Monday.
