Driver loses licence and has car impounded for 28 days after being clocked at 100km/h over the speed limit; Robbery in Brooklyn Park

A driver will face court after being caught speeding 100km/h over the speed limit in Dry Creek.

At just after 1am on Sunday, a police helicopter saw a car speeding on the North South Motorway.

The driver of a Hyundai was seen driving at 190km/h in a 90km/h speed zone, 100km/h over the limit.

A 20-year-old man from Greenacres was charged with driving a motor vehicle at extreme speed. His vehicle was impounded for 28 days and he lost his licence on the spot for six months.

He has received bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on April 11.

Meanwhile, police are investigating a bus-stop robbery at Brooklyn Park. A 37-year-old man was robbed just after 5pm on Saturday after being allegedly approached by two men while waiting at a bus stop.

One of the men demanded the victim hand over his necklace before snatching it off him and running off. The victim was not physically injured.

The suspect who grabbed the necklace is described as being of African appearance, around 25 to 30 years old and wearing red shorts and no shirt. The suspect had short black hair on the sides and was wearing a silver chain. The other suspect is described as being caucasian, about 35 to 40 years old with long grey hair, a grey full face beard and wearing a black and white horizontal stripe T-shirt and a cap.

A 14-year-old girl will face court after allegedly assaulting a bus driver at Walkley Heights on Saturday afternoon.

Police were called to RM Williams Drive after reports a bus driver had been assaulted by a passenger following an altercation on board a bus.

The 31-year victim was not seriously injured and identified a suspect to police.

The 14-year-old was reported for property damage and assault. She will be summonsed to appear in Adelaide Youth Court at a later date.
