Explosions heard as crews battle Murray Bridge shed fire
More than a dozen firefighters have battled a large shed fire filled with old car parts at a Murray Bridge property, managing to save a home.

A house has been saved but a shed destroyed in a fierce early morning fire at Murray Bridge.
Explosions were heard coming from the shed filled with old car parts at the Albert Terrace home in Murray Bridge where the fire broke out about 5.20am.
Four MFS appliances with 12 firefighters responded, along with two CFS crews, and were able to contain the blaze to the shed.
It was brought under control within 30 minutes.
A MFS spokeswoman described it as a “challenging” fire because of the contents of the shed.
Fire investigators are on scene to determine the cause and extent of the damage.
A smoke warning was issued for Murray Bridge residences for smoke coming from the property.
Meanwhile, police are working to determine the circumstances surrounding a car fire at the Old Spot Hotel in Salisbury Heights early this morning.
The vehicle, in the hotel carpark on Main North Rd, was destroyed in the blaze reported just after 3am.
Police said there were no people around the black Holden sedan at the time and Police Dog Edge, called in to help with a search for suspects, failed to find any trace.
