A man has died after being trapped inside a silo in the state’s south east.

A 63-year-old Salt Creek man has died after becoming trapped inside a silo in a workplace incident in the state’s South East on Friday.
Emergency services including SA Ambulance, police, State Emergency Services and Country Fire Services, were called to a property on the Princes Hwy, Salt Creek at around 4.15pm after reports that a man was trapped in a silo.
The Advertiser understands emergency services pulled the man from the storage facility, but were unable to save him.
In a statement, police said the man died at the scene.
“Police will be preparing a report for the coroner following the death of a man at Salt Creek today,” the statement said.
South Australia’s work health and safety agency SafeWork SA is attending the site and will be conducting an investigation.
