A car crash at Goodwood sent an axe-wielding woman to hospital on Friday night.

Just before 11pm emergency services were called to Goodwood Rd near Rosa St after reports that a black Holden station wagon had crashed and rolled on to its side.

The driver and sole occupant, a 33-year-old woman with no fixed address, threatened police with an axe before dropping the weapon and being helped out of the car.

This comes after two shoppers narrowly escaped a horror carpark smash in the Adelaide Hills earlier this week.

Released dashcam footage shows a red car reversing out of a carpark slowly before suddenly reversing straight into a parked car, narrowly missing two shoppers who quickly jumped out the way.

The crash occurred at around 1.38pm on May 9 at the Mount Barker Shopping Centre carpark.
