Got dinosaur-mad kids? An exhibit in a CBD park is the place to let them run wild these school holidays.

More than 30 dinosaurs have arrived in Bonython Park for the interactive exhibition of moving and roaring Jurassic Creatures, which is open this weekend and throughout the school holidays.

Director and producer Keith Brown says he’s excited to bring the show to Adelaide for the first time.

“I’m actually an Adelaide boy, so I’m bringing the show home, which I’m quite happy about,” he said. “I grew up at Gilles Plains.

There are dinosaurs from all over the world, including Australia, designed and built from scratch.

The creative team took advice from literature and museums with a bit of artistic licence when it comes to the finer details, like size.

“They’re all animatronic, all run by computers,” Mr Brown said. “They’ve got sound and they move, they breathe and they roar.”

His personal favourite is carnotaurus from South America, one of the stars of the latest movie Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, because of the “look and feel, little horns and everything”.

Ollie Kennett, 3, of Eden Hills said he enjoyed seeing the “T. Rex, Stegosaurus and Brachiosaurus”, but don’t ask him why, it’s obvious: “Just because!”.

Mum Anthea Sifis says the exhibit “looks amazing” and they’ll definitely be back for a closer look in the holidays.

Activities include a palaeontologist dig, 3D jigsaw, inflatables and dino ball pit.
