Delays on Main North Road after truck fire, Bridgewater house fire

A house under renovation went up in flames overnight in the Adelaide Hills, with police now investigating.

A major Adelaide road has reopened a after a truck fire.

Emergency services were called to the truck fire at Main North Rd, Salisbury about 6.30am on Thursday.

Main North Road near the intersection of Saints Road was reduced to one lane for northbound traffic.

The fire is not being treated as suspicious and the road is now reopened.

It comes as the CFS responded to a house fire at Bridgewater in the Adelaide Hills.

Police and CFS crews were called to Wattle Street about 3.30am and said it’s causing smoke to drift across the town.

The vacant home is being renovated and the fire – which is bring treated as suspicious – has caused about $200,000 damage.
