POLICE have warned the public not to approach a dangerous criminal who is on a the run.

John Thomas William Hadley, 35, is wanted after breaching the conditions of his parole, by not reporting to authorities for supervision.

He was released from prison on April 24 this year.

"Hadley has a history of violence including the unlawful use of firearms and is considered to be potentially dangerous and should not be approached, a police spokesman said."

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, 160cm tall, weighing about 60kg and of medium build. He has numerous tattoos, including a black skull on his left hand, a blue ACDC motif on his lower left leg and a blue home-made cross on his left index finger.

Hadley has previously lived in the Glengowrie area.
