Claims Noel’s Caravans founder Noel Faggotter dated ‘several’ other women while seeing future wife as bitter legal stoush rages

Amid a bitter legal stoush over his millions, late caravan mogul Noel Faggotter’s love life has been laid bare, with court documents revealing the 72-year-old’s promiscuity.

Late caravan mogul Noel Faggotter’s love life has been laid bare amid a bitter legal stoush over his millions, with claims the Noel’s Caravans founder was in relationships with “several” women while seeing his would-be wife.

In documents lodged in the Supreme Court as part of a bid to have Mr Faggotter’s recent marriage to Rosemary Anne Dunn voided, the millionaire’s daughters Naomi Joy Porter and Torie Lee-Anne Cooper allege their father, 72, had no intention of remarrying or being in an “exclusive” relationship.

Ms Dunn told The Advertiser in August she and Mr Faggotter had been in a relationship for the past eight years.

A family friend confirmed the length of the relationship.

“Noel was engaged in relationships with several women other than Rose during the period from 2018 to early 2022,” Ms Porter and Ms Cooper said in a reply to Ms Dunn’s defence.

In the documents, Ms Porter and Ms Cooper allege Mr Faggotter had nominated the start date of his relationship with Ms Dunn, 74, as mid-2021 – at least six months before he stopped seeing “women other than Rose” – when he executed a will.

They said Mr Faggotter and Ms Dunn did not live together because their father “did not intend to live with another woman again on a permanent and exclusive basis or get married”.

“Rose proceeded with the marriage to Noel despite being placed on notice of Noel’s intention not to remarry and without waiting for a capacity assessment to be conducted by a geriatrician,” they said.

The claims of Mr Faggotter’s promiscuity come ahead of his funeral on Saturday which is expected to draw hundreds of mourners.

In a defence filed in the Supreme Court this month, Ms Dunn denied she “was aware of Noel’s special disadvantage”.

Mr Faggotter was diagnosed with a brain tumour in March 2022 and died on September 4.

In a statement of claim lodged in the Supreme Court in August, Ms Porter and Ms Cooper sought a declaration that Ms Dunn had engaged in “unconscionable conduct” by marrying their terminally ill father just over a month before his death.

Ms Porter and Ms Cooper alleged their father had told them on several occasions he did not intend to remarry and had “made oral statements on a number of occasions to them and to his friends prior to his diagnosis with a brain tumour to the effect that he was not intending to marry again” because he “did not want to give away any more houses”.

“Rose purported to marry Noel … by taking advantage of his special disability and in order to obtain a financial benefit to herself knowing that marriage would invalidate any previous will,” they said.

They have maintained their father had lost capacity and was not fit to marry or manage his affairs.

“ … Noel was incapable of providing real consent to marriage as he did not understand the nature and effect of the marriage ceremony,” they said.

In their reply, lodged last week, Ms Porter and Ms Cooper denied restricting their father’s access to his personal bank accounts, insisting the bank itself banned Mr Faggotter’s access after he “breached conditions of internet banking by sharing passwords with third parties”.

Ms Dunn has declined to comment on the legal action.
