A TURNSTILE ticket glitch on Thursday night meant hundreds of footy fans missed the opening bounce of the Crows match at the Adelaide Oval.

Several angry supporters told The Advertiser the queues to get into the ground were tortoise-slow as a result of the fault.

An Adelaide Oval spokeswoman said they experienced some “technical ingress issues” resulting in scanning issues at the turnstiles.

“This slowed entry into the stadium which, combined with patrons arriving later than usual (with fans all having reserved seats), resulted in a small number of people missing the start of the game.”

The spokeswoman said they were undertaking a thorough review of the problem.

“The Adelaide Oval SMA is working with Ticketek to complete a thorough review of the technical issues and apologises sincerely for these delays.

“We would also ask fans to arrive as early as possible prior to all finals, which will assist greatly with an efficient entry into the stadium.”
