CFS downgrades warning following crop fire near Cummins on the Eyre Peninsula
The Country Fire Service says a fire burning today at Bratten Way, near Cummins on the Eyre Peninsula, has been contained, after 65 people worked to battle the blaze.

A fire near Cummins on the Lower Eyre Peninsula has been contained.
Earlier this afternoon, the service said people in the district should prepare to leave.
The CFS said firefighters would stay on the scene overnight and continue to monitor conditions.
The warning was issued for Bratten Way, 6km northwest of Cummins, and the fire had burned in a southeasterly direction towards the airport.
Bratten Way between Hill Road and Settlers Road was closed and the public advised to avoid the area.
CFS media liaison officer Belinda Dunbar said the blaze had burned through 100ha of farmland.
She said 65 CFS personnel, 14 trucks and four bombers worked to extinguish the blaze.
The CFS was alerted to the fire, which burned through a canola crop, at about 3.45pm. Volunteers are also assisted by farm fire units.
