Police have released frightening CCTV footage of a hotel robbery showing a man with a large knife charging through an SA gaming room moments before he stole cash.

Police have released CCTV footage of a Whyalla hotel robbery showing a man with a large knife charging through a gaming room moments before he stole cash.
Police said just before 1.30am on February 1, a man armed with a machete entered the gaming room of the New Whyalla Hotel on Gowrie Ave and threatened staff.
He stole cash and fled the hotel in a south-easterly direction.
He was described as being of caucasian appearance, and aged in his late 20s with a slim, athletic build.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
Elsewhere, a northern suburbs man will face court after police seized almost 40 cannabis plants, gel blasters and replica guns.
On Tuesday, Northern District police searched a Salisbury home where they found two hydroponic grow rooms containing 39 plants and about 6kg of dried cannabis.
They also found five gel blasters and two replica handguns.
A 30-year-old Salisbury man, who returned home while police were executing their search, was arrested and charged with cultivate a commercial quantity of a controlled plant, traffic in a controlled drug, possess prescribed equipment, possess firearms without a license, divert electricity, drive disqualified and breach of bail.
He was remanded in custody to face the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
