Car crashes into house at Lightsview, woman arrested over pursuit from CBD to Modbury

Three people were lucky not to be hurt after a car crashed into a house at Lightsview, and a woman has been arrested for leading police on a pursuit from the city to Modbury.

Three people have escaped injury after a car crashed in to a house at Lightsview in the northern suburbs.

Just after midnight on Friday, a Lightsview woman, 20, driving a white Renault SUV crashed into a fence on a North Parkway home.

The driver, and the homes two occupants who were in the room the car crashed into, were not injured.

The car was towed from the scene and police will investigate.

Meanwhile, a woman who drove on the wrong side of the road in the city, and was later allegedly found to be carrying meth, was arrested after leading police on a pursuit to Modbury.

The woman was spotted behaving erratically on Frome St about 10pm on Thursday night, before she drove off in a Holden Commodore.

Police attempted to stop her on North Tce, before they engaged in a brief pursuit that was called-off after the woman drove on the wrong side of the road on East Tce.

The PolAir police helicopter was called-in and followed the car through the eastern and north eastern suburbs as it drove in a dangerous manner.

It then blew a tyre after being spiked on North East Rd.

The driver then stopped on Reservoir Rd at Modbury, outside Tea Tree Plaza shopping centre, and was arrested.

A Queensland woman, 31, was charged with dangerous driving to escape a police pursuit, drive in a manner dangerous and drive unlicensed.

She was further charged with possess dangerous article and possess controlled drug after a taser and an amount of methylamphetamine was located in the car.

The woman was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Friday.
