Police have made a large discovery of drugs and weapons in Adelaide’s western suburbs.

A shotgun, two gel blasters and more than three kilograms of cannabis were found during a police search of a western suburbs home.

Officers originally responded to a domestic violence report at the home, but during a search located the illegal items.

The firearms, a cannabis plant and multiple jars of cannabis buds were seized.

A 31-year-old man from the address was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault, ten counts of firearms offences, drug trafficking and possession offences.

He was also issued a Police Interim Intervention Order, which provides further protection for the victim of the alleged domestic violence.

The man was refused police bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates court on Monday.

The discovery came shortly after a separate incident, where a man faced court when police located two cannabis crops in the western suburbs this week.

Detectives searched a Thebarton warehouse on Monday and seized a large hydroponic cannabis crop including 163 mature cannabis plants and about 150kg of dried cannabis.

On Thursday a Welland warehouse was searched and police seized a second cannabis crop including 18 plants and around half a kilogram of cannabis bud.
