Cannabis found as hotel rooms raided in Adelaide and Hyde Park

Police have uncovered nearly 20 bags of cannabis stashed in various hotel rooms across Adelaide.

A cache of nearly 20 bags of cannabis was found during two hotel room raids in Adelaide this week.

Following investigations, Eastern District police searched a room at a South Tce hotel and found 11 vacuum-sealed bags weighing just under 500g each.

As they were leaving, the occupant returned to the hotel and was subsequently arrested.

A search uncovered keys to another hotel room at a different location.

The room on Jasper St at Hyde Park was searched where police found a further eight bags of cannabis.

A New South Wales man, 23, was charged with two counts of trafficking a large commercial quantity of cannabis.

He appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday where he was remanded to appear in court at a later date.
