THE brother of former Adelaide Crow Graham Johncock is facing a life ban from football for the second time.
THE brother of former Adelaide Crow Graham Johncock is again facing a life ban from football.
Barry Johncock Jnr was reported during Mallee Park's Port Lincoln Football League A-grade game against Lincoln South at Mallee Park yesterday.
Port Lincoln Football League operations manager Robyn Rowsell confirmed to advertiser.com.au that Johncock had been reported and was facing a life ban if found guilty.
But she was unable to give any details about what Johncock was alleged to have done.
The league will look at the report this week.
"There is a report in progress. I can't say any more until later in the week," she said.
"The umpire came in (Saturday) night and gave me the report slip."
Last month, Johncock avoided a life ban when he was found not guilty of biting a Lincoln South player.
The league's president Rod Patterson said while he was unaware of the latest report, Johncock would be entitled to appeal the decision if he was banned.
Mr Paterson said players who were suspended for 16 weeks or more were automatically deregistered.
Johncock has kicked 27 goals in eight games for Mallee Park this season and has been named among the best players on five occasions.
His side sits fourth on the ladder with five wins, four losses and a draw.
Mallee Park and Lincoln South presidents could not be reached for comment.
Earlier this month, former AFL and Sydney premiership player Barry Hall moved closer to a life ban when he was reported for striking in a Victorian amateur league match.
The four-time All-Australian, who now plays for his home club Broadford, was sent off against Romsey in the Riddell District Football League.
He accepted a one-week penalty, which took him to a total of 14 suspended weeks - two weeks short of the 16-week suspension that activates a life ban.
Former St Kilda tagger Steve Baker, now playing for Sorrento, managed to overturn a life ban in April for striking an opponent during a practice match.
