Two boys, aged 11 and 12, have been arrested after a truck rollover in Davoren Park.
Police say a Mitsubishi L500 truck and motorbike were spotted travelling north on a service road off Main North Rd on Sunday, bust before 1.15am.
Police allege they attempted to stop the truck but did not pursue the vehicle after the driver failed to stop.
The truck was then seen driving north on Stebonheath Rd at 1.27am where it attempted a U-turn near roadworks and rolled onto its roof.
The motorbike rider, a 12-year-old boy, stopped at the scene and stayed with the truck.
Police provided assistance to the driver of the truck, an 11-year-old boy from Penfield, and freed him from the driver’s cabin.
He was wearing his seatbelt and sustained non-life-threatening injuries, but was taken to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital for observation.
Police checks allegedly revealed the motorbike and truck had been stolen from an Angle Vale business overnight.
The boys, both from Penfield, were arrested and charged for various offences including illegal use of a motor vehicle and serious criminal trespass.
Both have been granted bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Youth Court on June 16.
