Bones believed to be human removed from conservation park near Williamstown

Police have removed human remains found in a conservation park near Williamstown.
The bones were reported to police by a walker travelling through Hale Conservation Park on Tuesday.
SA Police said the bones were believed to be human and will undergo forensic examination to
identify the deceased.
It is not yet known how old the bones are or how many have been found.
Police are treating it as an unexplained death and are undertaking a comprehensive investigation as to the cause and circumstances surrounding the death.
Forensic detectives with State Emergency Service volunteers returned to the conservation park to continue searching on Wednesday after the find on Tuesday afteroon.
Williamstown is located around 60km northeast of Adelaide with a population of around 2000.
Hale Conservation Park, just outside of Williamstown, is made up of dense scrub with one main walking track in the park which can be accessed via Warren Rd.
