A minuscule 2.5 magnitude earthquake struck at a depth of 10km in the Barossa Valley at about 5am on Thursday according to Geoscience Australia.

The “quake” had an epicentre north of Nuriootpa.

South Australia has a bit of a history when it comes to mini-earthquakes with the state being “rattled” by two earth movements in nine days back in February 2017.

There was no damage.
