Authorities issue warning as heatwave conditions expected in parts of SA
After some unseasonably low temperatures, summer weather has made a grand return to SA – with authorities issuing a heatwave alert for parts of the state.

South Australia will swelter through a string of hot and dry days that have prompted a heatwave warning from authorities.
The State Emergency Service issued an alert for the North West Pastoral and West Coast districts for Wednesday.
In the West Coast district, temperatures will soar to 38C to 43C with north to north-easterly winds between 25 to 35km/h, tending southeast to south-westerly in the early afternoon and east to south-easterly 20 to 30km/h in the evening.
The North West Pastoral area is expected to sit around 40C with winds east to north-easterly between 20 to 30km/h becoming light in the middle of the day then becoming east to south-easterly 15 to 25km/h in the late afternoon.
The low intensity warning is common during summer in SA but still poses a risk to the very young, elderly or people with medical conditions.
Adelaide is forecast to reach 33C with sunny conditions, followed by 36C on Thursday and 30C on Friday to round out the working week.

Towards the north, Port Augusta is expecting a top of 38C on Wednesday with tops of 41C and 38C to follow.
More mild conditions are on the way in the south, with cloud and 25C on the radar for Mount Gambier.
Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster Simon Timcke said a cool change will move in on Friday.
“It will still be sunny … but some milder conditions over the weekend and early next week with temperatures in the in the mid 20s,” he told ABC Radio.
