Hey Aquaman, come fishing with us!

That’s the call out from the Port Adelaide Cheer Squad to Jason Momoa, who may well be the biggest actor on the planet at the moment.

The ruggedly handsome Hawaiian, who shot to global fame as Khal Drogo in the TV mega-hit Game of Thrones, actually lived in Adelaide for a number of years while he dated McLeod’s Daughters star Simmone Jade McKinnon and developed a love for the Aussie sense of humour, work ethic – and the PAFC.

Cheer Squad president Ian Wilson said that the club’s supporters would love to host Momoa should he chose to come back to his old home town to watch a game.

“We could get him out in front of the Southern Stand to sing Never Tear Us Apart,” Mr Wilson said.

“And I’m sure we could arrange a box and couple of drinks for him.”

Mr Wilson said Momoa’s “tough, strong, silent type” personality made him a typical Port supporter.

There’s also no doubt he’d make for a fearsome sight leading the Power supporters on their march to Adelaide Oval.

Of course, with Aquamans power over the creatures of the sea, a fishing trip off Outer Harbor might just be the perfect outing.

“Yeah, I’m sure some of the players could take him out for a fish, why not?” Mr Wilson said.

Momoa was pictured in a Port Magpies “prison bar” guernsey during a visit to Oz Comic-Con back in 2014, and last year posted a picture of himself with children Lola and Wolf watching the NRL State of Origin match with the caption, “Raise them right. DA MOMOAZ bleed. Qld. All Black. And Port Power. I love Australia and New Zealand. Best sports ever. Except they need hockey. Go maroons.”

Momoa recently told an Australian magazine, “I love Australia. I actually once lived in Adelaide for three years and I travelled all over the country and we went all the way from Adelaide to Ayers Rock. I went through Coober Pedy and Alice Springs and then went all the way across to Coffs Harbour and down, finding the Grampians, like three times, to the Barossa and travelled over to Perth.”

“Port Power is my team,” he said during the same promotional tour. “I love the Australian spirit and I feel like Aussies love me. They have such a great attitude to life. They work hard, they play hard.”
