The Advertiser was told passengers on board the Fokker 100 aircraft, which has a capacity of 100 passengers, would be transferred to a different aircraft.

The flight on the new aircraft was due to arrive in Adelaide at 4.30pm.

Virgin apologised to guests for any inconvenience caused.
