THE official Adelaide weather forecast for Christmas Day is here.
The Bureau of Meteorology forecast for December 25 says Adelaide will be 29C with a few showers.
It says there will be a medium (60 per cent) chance of showers, with 1-8mm expected. Winds will be northerly 15 to 25km/h shifting west to southwesterly 25 to 40km/h during the morning.
Adelaide won’t be the only city to cop some unseasonal showers on Christmas Day.
In Sydney, it will be 26C with a possible shower and in Melbourne 31C with a shower or two developing.
Meanwhile, the record-breaking heatwave will continue tomorrow with a forecast top of 44C in Adelaide.
This could be followed by showers and possibly a thunderstorm — along with dramatically cooler temperatures — on Sunday.
After a few days of relief from this week’s scorching temperatures, the heat in Adelaide will kick it up a notch from Wednesday (December 23), when it will be around 35C and sunny.
On Christmas Eve, it will be 39C and partly cloudy.

THURSDAY DEC 24: Partly cloudy. Max 39C, Min 20C.
FRIDAY DEC 25: A few showers. Max 29C, Min 24C.
