An Adelaide man has captured incredible vision of a pod of dolphins frollicking with a humpback whale at Port Elliot.
Hallett Cove resident Davide Gaglio said he spotted the whale through binoculars about 2.30pm on Sunday afternoon and sent up a drone for a better view.
“Once I got at a safe distance I filmed this incredible interaction between the whale and the dolphins,” the Italian-born filmmaker and marine biologist said.
“From the coast I could only see the splashing and blowing of the whale.
“When I saw that gentle giant swimming with friendly dolphins on my (drone camera) screen, I couldn’t bleieve my eyes, I was amazed.
“As a marine biologist and filmmaker I think it is very important to share this natural beauty with the community.”
