Adelaide City Council will consider extending an e-scooter trial in the CBD for another year at Tuesday night’s meeting.
A staff report has recommended the Lord Mayor seek permission from the state government for a 12 month extension of the trial until October 31, 2023.
The extension would allow for e-scooters to be continue to be used while the government reviews their use and opportunities for expansion or further regulation.
A YourSAy survey will also be undertaken on a framework to allow the use of personal e-scooters in SA.
Other councils participating in similar e-scooter trials are Unley, Port Adelaide Enfield, Charles Sturt, West Torrens and Norwood, Payneham & St Peters.
