Adelaide businessman Davie Fogarty joins the latest season of Shark Tank

Shark Tank is back in business and this time an Adelaide businessman is in the tank.

Founder of Davie Group, the business responsible for 10 consumer brands including The Oodie, Calming Blankets and Pupnaps, Davie Fogarty, will be joined by other Australian business heavyweights to fight for contestants’ ventures.

The 28-year-old is worth half a billion dollars, the second largest net worth on the panel, behind CEO of Herjavec Group Robert Herjavec, a US Shark joining the Australian season worth $1bn.

Popular on social media, Mr Fogarty shares his tips and tricks of the trade online to his thousands of followers.

Mr Fogarty said he joined the show because he wants “to give hungry entrepreneurs a chance to change their lives”.

“I am hoping to share my experience and knowledge so they don’t make the same mistakes I did, which could potentially ruin their business,” he said.

“I am looking for unique products that solve problems and improve the world.”

Ideally Mr Fogarty wants entrepreneurs “who know that if they work hard and are willing to learn, anything is possible”.

The other Sharks appearing on the latest season alongside Mr Fogarty and Mr Herjavec include Sabri Suby CEO of King Kong who has a net worth of $75m, Global Expert: Artificial Intelligence Ethical Investor Catriona Wallace who has a net worth of $105m and Jane Lu the founder of Showpo, who has a net worth of $55m.

Shark Tank is coming to Channel 10 and 10 Play in 2023.
