Travellers have found themselves stuck in the peak hour rush at the Adelaide Airport on Tuesday morning with queues for security snaking out onto the footpath.
One staff member, operating a check-in service, feared the worst was yet to come.
“If it’s like this on a Tuesday morning in early December, I’m worried about Christmas.
The advice for domestic travellers is to arrive two hours before a scheduled flight and three hours for international travellers.
Long wait times are starting to become a common occurrence at the airport.
Last week, passenger Douglas Westley waited in line for 45 minutes for a red-eye flight and feared he’d be stuck for another 60, missing his flight from Adelaide to Sydney.
