A teenage boy has been charged with terrorism related offences

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with a serious offence after counter terrorism and security section arrest.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested today and charged with possessing an item with the intent to kill or cause harm.

The teenager, from Felixstow, appeared in the Adelaide Youth Court today and was refused bail and remanded in custody.

He will reappear in court on Wednesday.

The investigation is ongoing and SA Police say there are no safety concerns for the public.
