A man, 47, reported for possessing 16 gel blasters from Wallaroo property

A Wallaroo man will face court after police found several gel blasters in a home on the weekend.
Police said they attended a tip off about unregistered firearms at about 5pm on Sunday.
Following a search of the home, police found an assortment of 16 gel blasters.
The 47-year-old resident was reported for possessing unregistered firearms, being an unlicensed person and insecure firearms.
He is set to appear in court at a later date.
A gel blaster carries the same legal requirements as a firearm.
“Gel blasters are subject to the same licensing, registration and security conditions as other firearms,” A police spokesperson said.
Police urged anyone without a licence to have a gel blaster or an those in possession of an unregistered gel blaster should surrender it to police or a participating licensed firearms dealer.
