Mount Gambier man charged over double-fatal crash on Riddoch Highway at Nangwarry
A young man has been charged with causing the deaths of two children from the same family in the horrific crash on the Riddoch Highway at Nangwarry.

A man has been charged over a fatal crash on Sunday in the state’s South-East that claimed the lives of a young boy and girl from the same family.
The 22-year-old driver from Mount Gambier was arrested by Major Crash Investigation Section officers on Tuesday, following the devastating three-vehicle crash on Riddoch Hwy, about 5kms south of Nangwarry.
He has been charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving and four counts of causing harm by dangerous driving.
He was refused bail and will appear in the Mount Gambier Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
On Sunday around 2.40pm, a woman driving a black Holden sedan collided with an emu. She was not injured in the crash.
A grey Toyota station wagon driven by the Eykelenbury family from Mount Gambier braked to avoid a collision with the Holden sedan.
However, just seconds later a white Nissan ute crashed in the back of the Toyota.
A five-year-old boy, who was a passenger in the Toyota, tragically died at the scene.
His sister suffered critical injuries and had been fighting for her life at the Royal Adelaide Hospital before she succumbed to her injuries on Monday night.
Their father, Chris, 42, mum Paula, 46, and 13-year-old sister and six-year-old brother were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
