94-year-old pedestrian dies in hospital after Glenelg crash
A 94-YEAR-OLD man has died at The Royal Adelaide Hospital after he was hit by a car in Glenelg on Tuesday night.

A 94-YEAR-OLD man has died at The Royal Adelaide Hospital after he was hit by a car in Glenelg on Tuesday night.
Emergency services were called to Mosley St in front of the ECH Manson Towers at about 7.15pm on Tuesday after the elderly pedestrian was hit by a white four wheel drive.
The driver of the vehicle stopped after the collision.
Initial reports were that the man had sustained head injuries, but an SA ambulance spokeswoman could only confirm that he was “very unwell”.
He died at the Royal Adelaide Hospital on Wednesday morning.

A man, believed to be the driver, was interviewed at the scene before leaving with police.
Major crash investigators arrived around 8.30pm and began examining the scene.
Police officers checked security cameras on the awnings of local businesses to see if they filmed the crash.

The man is understood to have lived nearby the scene of the crash and may have been taking cover from the rain beneath a nearby tree before he stepped out on to the road.
The man’s death takes the road toll to 43 — the same as this time last year.
