34-year-old man dies two days after crash in Greenways

A man has died two days after his ute left the road and rolled into a paddock in the state’s South East.

A man has died in hospital two days after sustaining serious injuries in a crash in the state’s South East.

Just after 3pm on Tuesday, a black Ford utility left the road at the intersection of Princes Highway and Konetta Road at Greenways, north west of Mount Gambier.

The vehicle rolled before coming to rest in a paddock.

The 34-year-old driver and sole occupant of the ute suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Mount Gambier Hospital before being flown to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

On Thursday the man died from his injuries.

The man’s death brings the number of lives lost on SA roads to 97 compared with 90 at the same time last year.
