Four residents have been charged after police say they made a shocking drug discovery in the garage of the West Lakes home.

Four people have been arrested after police say they found 11 large cannabis plants being grown in the garage of a western suburbs home.

Police searched a West Lakes property on Monday about 8.30am, after receiving a tip-off, and say they uncovered a hydroponic set-up with 11 large cannabis plants being grown in the garage.

Four people were arrested following the discovery – a 66-year-old man, a 50-year-old woman and two 18-year-old men – all living at the same address.

They were charged with cultivating cannabis, possession of prescribed equipment and theft of electricity.

The four of them have been bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on February 26.

Police are asking for anyone with information about the manufacture, sale, and possession of illegal drugs to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online.
