Top End Supercars fans will get a musical treat as iconic Aussie singer Shannon Noll lights up the Darwin Triple Crown event in June.

Noll will take the stage on Saturday, June 21 after the second of three races for the event.

It is Noll’s first appearance at Hidden Valley Raceway, but the pop star is no stranger to Supercars, having previously played at the Adelaide 500 and Bathurst 1000.

“This is the first time I’ll be headlining up here, so I can’t wait, it’s going to be great fun,” Noll told the NT News.

“It’s such a big event and obviously up here it means so much to everyone because it’s obviously the dry season too, so everyone gets a chance to get out and let their hair down.”

The 49-year-old said he was backing two-time Bathurst winner Chaz Mostert around the Hidden Valley circuit, but said he thought local gun Bryce Fullwood could also do well at his home track.

“Home track, I reckon that always holds a bit of advantage for people so I reckon he should do well.”

Noll is coming off a starring set at Saturday’s BASSINTHEGRASS festival, performing alongside local DJ Cyril and Katie Baker.

“It was just great to see Cyril in his element, he did a great job,” he said.

“It’s just so much fun when you’ve got a big crowd like that, it’s something else.”

Noll played in the second ever BASSINTHEGRASS in 2004, and said he hoped to come back in 2026.

“It was amazing to see how much it’s grown, you know, so it’s a really great event,” he said.

“They do such a great job with it.”

A keen fisherman, Noll said he was unable to get out on the water on his current Top End stay, but he had fond memories of doing so in years past.

“It’s such a great place, it has got everything up here,” he said.

“Obviously growing up in the bush, I just like getting out of the city whenever I can.

“I encourage anyone, if they’re ever thinking about coming up this way, to do so.

“They’re mad if they don’t because there’s so much to do.”

The Darwin Triple Crown Supercars event runs from June 20-22 at Hidden Valley Raceway.
