Woman charged over brutal alleged stabbing

A woman has been charged after a man was allegedly stabbed several times in the head and torso at a southeast Queensland home.

A WOMAN has been charged after a man was allegedly stabbed several times in the head and torso at a Sunshine Coast home. 

It will be alleged four people, two women and two men, attended an address on Old Gympie Rd, Beerwah, about 8.30pm on December 23 .

One of the women had a verbal dispute with a 38-year-old male occupant of the residence, during which time it will be alleged he was stabbed several times to his head and torso.

The group of four then allegedly left left in a vehicle which was later located by police at Nambour.

The man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 36-year-old Nambour woman has since been arrested and charged with wounding and possession of a knife in a public place.

She is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court today.
