UPDATE, 1.20PM: SUPPORT has been offered to the heartbroken family of a little boy who died in hospital after a tragic accident in East Toowoomba on Sunday.
The one-year-old boy died in hospital from injuries after he was struck by a car at a private residence just after 12.30pm.
Preliminary inquiries indicate the one-year-old boy was near the driveway area when a family member, believed to be his grandfather, moved the car.
He was rushed to Toowoomba Hospital by Queensland Ambulance paramedics but passed away soon after.
Police and agency partners have offered the family access to support services as investigations into the tragedy continue.

MONDAY, 5AM: A YOUNG boy has died in hospital after a tragic incident at an East Toowoomba home yesterday.
The toddler was struck by a vehicle at a private residence shortly after 12.30pm, with emergency services rushing to the scene.
Queensland Ambulance Service crews, including a Critical Care Paramedic, rushed the boy to Toowoomba Hospital "under emergency lights and sirens" in a critical condition.
Tragically, he passed away a short time later.
Several police units remained at the quiet suburban street, including the Forensic Crash Unit as investigations got under way into the tragedy.
The FCU will assist in preparing a report for the coroner.
EARLIER, Sunday 1.30pm: A toddler is in a critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in Toowoomba.
The young boy was rushed to Toowoomba Hospital after he was struck by a vehicle at a private residence in East Toowoomba about 12.45pm.
The Queensland Ambulance Service, with a Critical Care Paramedic, responded to the incident, rushing the boy with unknown injuries to hospital.
The QAS reported the boy was transported "under emergency lights and sirens" to hospital.
Police are investigating.
