UPDATE 1.50pm

A second fire at Wamuran has been contained and firefighters will continue to monitor the area.   A QFES spokesperson said properties were not under direct threat at this time.    People in the area may be affected by smoke throughout the day, which could reduce visibility and air quality.

A second bushfire has sparked at Wamuran, and firefighters advise residents the situation could worsen.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services officers said residents should be ready to follow their bushfire survival plan.

"If you do not have a plan, or intend to leave, you should be ready to leave the area because the situation could get worse quickly," a spokesperson said.

As of 1pm, a fire was travelling from Mount Miketeebumulgrai, near King Rd, at Wamuran in a north-westerly direction towards Pates Rd and Powell Rd. The fire is currently contained but conditions could change quickly.

Multiple fire crews are on scene monitoring the area but firefighters may not be able to protect every property.

A spokesperson said residents should not expect a firefighter at their door.

People in the area will be affected by smoke, which will reduce visibility and air quality.

Call 000 immediately if you believe your property is under threat.
