A caravan caught fire at Maroochydore on Saturday afternoon and emergency crews were also called to three separate crashes.

Crews rushed to Cotton Tree Parade in response to the small caravan fire about 2pm.

A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said two crews attended the blaze near the water at Cotton Tree to find it already burning out on its own.

The spokesman said one fire crew remained on scene damping down hotspots.

The cause was not yet known.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said they were initially on the way to the scene but were called off as no injuries were reported.

Meanwhile, multiple crashes and traffic delays have been reported across the Sunshine Coast over the long weekend.

Around 1pm, one stable patient was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after a crash in Buddina.

The QAS spokeswoman said two vehicles collided nose to tail on Nicklin Way, causing traffic jams.

Earlier, at 11am a two-vehicle crash was reported on the Maroochy Boulevard off ramp of the Sunshine Motorway.

The QAS spokeswoman said three patients were assessed but declined transport to hospital.

At 8am, a single vehicle crash into a pole occurred on McKinnon Drive in Tewantin with no injuries reported.

Roads have since been cleared with traffic congestion beginning to ease as of 2.30pm.
