A MAN has been jailed for contempt after he repeatedly flashed his bum to a Coast magistrate during a bizarre court appearance.

A MAN has been jailed for contempt after he repeatedly flashed his bum to a Coast magistrate during a bizarre court appearance.

Aaron Jaye Laidlaw appeared in Maroochydore Magistrates Court today naked from the waist up via video link from the watchhouse charged with obstructing police, failing to appear in court and wilful damage of a vehicle.

Mr Laidlaw persistently interrupted Magistrate Rod Madsen during his appearance with strange musings, including asking Mr Madsen if he knew what Facebook was and telling him he should "get on it”.

When asked by Mr Madsen how we would plead to the charges, Mr Laidlaw said the complainant who allegedly had his car damaged was "full of s---” and that he was pleading not guilty to all three offences.

Mr Laidlaw then told the court, "I'll keep interrupting you until you get me out of here”.

The video link was quickly terminated when Mr Laidlaw pulled down his pants and presented his buttocks to the court.

A short time later he was forced to face court again so Mr Madsen could charge and sentence him with contempt of court for "attempting to show me his rear end”.

Mr Laidlaw put both middle fingers up at Mr Madsen when he was told he was also being charged for doing the same the day before.

He then pulled his pants down and flashed again before repeatedly punching the watchhouse camera and door.

Mr Madsen ordered Mr Laidlaw to serve six-months' imprisonment for the offence with parole release after serving two months.

Mr Laidlaw's other matters have been adjourned for two weeks.
