Woman, 49, stabbed in alleged group scuffle in Cairns
A Cairns woman has been stabbed following an alleged argument with a woman who was known to her.

A 49-year-old woman has allegedly been stabbed by another woman, 47, following a group scuffle in far north Queensland.
The woman was stabbed in an incident at the intersection of Lake and Shield streets, Cairns, just after 6.30 on Tuesday night.
It is understood there was a group altercation involving two women who were known to each other.
One woman allegedly produced a knife and stabbed the other woman in the abdomen, causing serious bleeding.
The injured woman from Earlville was transported to Cairns Hospital in a stable condition.
Police were speaking with a 47-year old Manunda woman. No one has been charged.
